NBA Frontline | Crazy day! DeAndre Jordan goes to Brooklyn, Nets group three
Beijing time on July 1st, reports from the US media stated that it was a crazy day for the Nets.
A report from well-known ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski stated that well-informed sources revealed that DeAndre Jordan will join the Nets. After Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving decided to go to Brooklyn, DeAndre Jordan became the Nets' new aid, strengthening their inside strength.
Last week, New York Times reporter Mark Stein revealed that the information he received was that the Nets will pursue KD, Irving and DeAndre Jordan this summer to form an aggressive lineup and compete for the championship. No one expected that on the first day of free agency, the Nets would successfully form the Big Three!
Last summer, after Jordan jumped out of his contract, he signed a one-year contract worth $22.9 million with the Mavericks and was later traded to the Knicks. This summer, Jordan becomes an unrestricted free agent. It is reported that Jordan and KD have a close personal relationship.
The 30-year-old Jordan played a total of 69 games with the Mavericks and Knicks last season, averaging 29.7 minutes per game, averaging 11.0 points, 13.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks, with a shooting percentage of 64.1%.
Jordan has been in the league for 11 years, including the first 10 years of his career with the Clippers. In the 2018 offseason, Jordan was sent to New York as one of the bargaining chips in a trade involving Kristaps Porzingis.
On the other hand, ESPN reporter Mark Spears revealed that he heard that the Nets also signed Garrett Temple for $10 million over two years, with the second year as a team option. Last season, Temple averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Pelicans player Josh Hart wrote on social media, "Today is a crazy day!"
